New
Distribution Center Owned and Operated by Willis for West Coast Operations
Lakewood, Washington, April 21, 2014—After expanding into the US in 2001, Willis –
Canadian-based distributor of building materials - has now firmly planted their
roots in the US market by purchasing a permanent warehouse facility in
Lakewood, Washington.
The
new distribution center, with a capacity of just under 50,000 square feet, is
an exciting move for the company who had previously been renting a warehouse
facility in Lakewood. Said Willis
President & CEO Mike Hetherman, “In purchasing our own facility, we now
have a permanent home to serve our customers.
It provides reassurance that we have every intention of having a
long-term presence on the west coast.”
The
new distribution center is located off Interstate 5, which means easier access
for customers and key transportation lanes up and down the Interstate 5
corridor.
“Regardless
of the move to a new location, our main goal has always been to continue to
provide top-notch service to our customers.
The new building is simply a stepping stone to ensuring we have a
permanent, lasting presence in the US marketplace,” said Hetherman.
Willis
will be relocated to the new warehouse as of May 19, 2014. The new warehouse will be located at:
9805 32nd Ave S
Lakewood,
WA 98499
